The MAD HATTERS (Mothers and Daughters Having a Terrific Time Enjoying Reading Society) of Washington came up with these wonderful questions for MILLICENT MIN, GIRL GENIUS.

Ready? Here they are . . .

1. What would you rate the book on a scale of 1-5? (1 is low, 5 is high)

2. Who’s your favorite character?

3. Do you think the characters seemed believable and real?

4. What do you think Millicent’s biggest problem was?

5. If you were a genius would you tell your first “real” friend immediately or would you wait a while?  Why?

6. Millicent had a hard time fitting in with high school/college kids and kids her own age.  Why?

7. Millicent thought her parents were really weird.  Were they?

8. How did Millicent’s relationship with Stanford change in their tutoring sessions together?

9. Millicent’s mom made Millie play volleyball.  Have you ever had to do something that you thought was awful but ended up good?

10. If you were Emily, how would you feel when you saw Millicent’s awards?

11. Did you like the author’s style of writing?  Why? 12. Would you want to read a sequel if their was one?  What would it be about?
